This weekend has been busy... but oh so fun! Jonathan and I both were off Wednesday-Sunday and we made the most of our family time!
On Wednesday, we just took it easy and relaxed a bit. Bennett really got into the whole "sleeping late" thing and slept until 8 or 9 each morning! Score! On Wednesday night, my brother came home and we went to eat at Mig's. Yum!
On Thursday morning, B and I baked some Christmas cookies. This boy loves helping me cook!
On Thursday night, we went to dinner at my Granddaddy's with our entire family. We had a wonderful time making memories!

On Friday morning, Jonathan, B, myself, Aaron and Ericka went to get a Christmas Tree. We tried a new tree farm this year but I think we will go back to Wright's Tree Farm next year. There seemed to be more for kids to do there. Anyway, the weather was really pretty nice so we set out to find the perfect tree.

On Friday afternoon, my daddy joined us for supper at our house. We had a feast! I got a little carried away and cooked way too much... but my first turkey was actually pretty good!
On Saturday, we bundled up for the Ninety Six Parade. B LOVED it. He loved the cars, trucks, the band... the candy! Ha ha. He really just liked watching everything going on!

The best seat in the house.
After the parade, we came home to get a few things done. We had family Christmas pics that afternoon. B finally warmed up and did pretty good. I can't wait to see them!
Since naptime was disrupted by pictures and B didn't show any signs of napping, we decided to see if Santa was at the mall. B has been talking about Santa Claus for a week and he has seen his picture of himself and Santa from last year. We got to Santa and B talked to him from a distance. Finally, he warmed up to him and went to him. We got him to sit with Santa when Santa offered to let him hold his fan remote. Score! :)
We have been decorating for a week around here. It's not as quick as it used to be now that we have a helper! Ha ha! We have also had a visitor from the North Pole. Meet Mr. Bo Jingles. Bo is our elf. B has had fun finding it the past two mornings. It will be a fun tradition.
Deck the halls....
Hopefully, our new tree will get decorated tomorrow!
