Ahhh. Our life is so good and it is so FULL. We have been busy doing all sorts of things and sometimes, just doing nothing. During each of these moments, I try to be conscious and "in the moment" and soak it all in. These past few weeks, we have done lots of fun things.
We had Easter pictures done. This is just one of them but would you look at this sweet face? Oh my goodness.
We went to the rodeo for the first time. Bennett had a ball playing with the Turner twins and Warren. The kids all did great and had fun.
My big boy even rode the mechanical bull after seeing Warren ride it. He loved this!
We took a little time out to take a picture together.
The next day we had breakfast at IHOP and headed to Lowe's to get some plants and rocks for our backyard landscaping project. Here is our little helper loading up some rocks.
Once we got home and got started, he decided he needed some work gloves. He went to his room and got these mittens. He also dressed himself. Can't you tell?
This past weekend, we went camping. The weather was miserable... cold and rainy. Not exactly what we expected. B and I stuck it out as much as we could but came home Saturday night. Here is B and his GeeGee building a fire.
Here is B enjoying the fire. He made us a bit nervous because he wanted to get entirely too close to the flames
A little campfire selfie
Roasting a few marshmallows
On Good Friday, B and I went to a few of his friends' houses and hid Easter eggs. It was a project I found on Pinterest and a tradition I think we will continue. B had fun!
When we got done hiding eggs for his friends, we headed back to the camper to dye a few Easter eggs.
On Saturday, we headed to our church for an Easter Egg hunt. It was cold and wet so we hunted inside. B found the golden egg and the silver egg.
Here is our sweet boy listening to the Easter Story like such a big boy.
On Sunday, B got to see the surprises the Easter Bunny brought.
We went to church to celebrate Resurrection Day.
B looked PRECIOUS!!
After church, we went to Big Big's to eat Easter lunch with the family.
Unc even took B on a tractor ride. I love these two!
After the tractor ride, we hunted a few eggs as is our tradition that spans 25+ years! :)
We mixed several traditions but made sure our MAIN focus was on Jesus. At church, we were challenged to be the MAIN disciple maker of our children. Jonathan and I realize what a huge task but what an honor it is to lead Bennett to Jesus. We are so thankful that we serve a risen Savior and we are so excited to teach Bennett more about the precious gift he gave us.
