Our BIG BOY is 14 months old! We kicked off his special day with his very first Christmas Parade. Our little town has a parade every year. Last year, B was only two months old so we stayed home. This year, we were excited to take him! He woke up at 7:45am which was great... however it threw his whole nap schedule off so we went to the parade without a nap. He did great though! Here we are waiting on the parade to start.
My mama went with us and took B to see Nannie (my step-grandma). Nannie and her friend had taken the golf cart to the parade since they live so close. Bennett LOVES to drive anything so he took a turn on the golf cart while he watched the parade. Here is my little monkey climbing ON the steering wheel. He is a mess!
When the motorcycles went by, he made the noise... more like a low hum... but that is the same thing he does when he is playing with his cars and trucks! He seemed to enjoy his first parade. It wore him out though. He was asleep as soon as we headed home.
Now... our monthly photo shoot.
(notice the baby gate in front of our tree???

At 14 months, Bennett....
*says "Ho Ho Ho"... it actually comes out "Ha, Ha, Ha" :)
*is outgrowing his clothes... only in length. The waist is usually too big and I have to alter all his pants.
*Eats a little bit of everything. I don't think there is any food he doesn't like!
*climbs on everything
*still hates having his diaper changed or putting on clothes
*can point to his hair, nose, eyes and will show his tongue
*communicates by pointing to what he wants
*can mimic certain animal sounds (neigh, meow, moo)
*likes trying to put tops and lids on things
*will shake his head "no" if I try to give him food and he doesn't want it
*says "night night" and rubs his eyes when he is tired
*can follow simple instructions (brings things to me when I ask for them, closes the refrigerator door when asked, gets his milk/juice cup when asked"
*knows what a door knob does... he equates it with "outside" and when you are near a door, he is leaning trying to turn the knob.
*will use the brush to brush his hair... and mine :) He isn't gentle just yet!
*will let me read a book to him without flipping straight to the back.
*will give hugs when we say, "Can I have some love?"
*is surprisingly accurate when stabbing food with a fork, AND getting it to his mouth
*can climb up on the coffee table in 4.32 seconds flat... and is surprisingly careful not to fall
He is growing so fast! Slow down, Bennett, slow down!
We have the same problem with pants (waist and length). Buy Carter's pants- adjustable waist!
