Pirateland Vaca 2016

We just got back last week from an amazing few days at the beach! The beach, besides my own house, is my favorite place to be. Since my babies have come along, my happy place is wherever they are... so having my babies at the beach-- heaven. They love it just as much as I do. Well the big one does. Little brother loves it if he is fed, napped, and doesn't get sand and sunscreen in his eyes. :)

When we first set up camp, B was dying to see the ocean. As soon as baby boy woke up from a nap, we all headed to the ocean. B was estatic. H was slow to warm up but eventually plopped down and enjoyed the sand.
Checking things out.

Running from the waves.
A little beach family selfie.

Hello, little one.

Late night golf cart ride for either ice cream, funnel cake, or fried cheesecake.

We camped right on a pond. This was the best spot in the campground-- no joke. We were in between the beach and the water park and right on the pond. Bennett loved fishing and crabbing.
Who doesn't fish and feed ducks with a helmet on?

Jonathan and B caught several crabs. It was all fun and games until the crab pinched and Jonathan drew back a nub. Okay, there was no nub but the sucker did fold his fingernail in half and cut his skin! He stuck to using pliers after that. The sight of blood about did B in. No kidding. It took awhile for him to get some color back in his face. Poor kid. He was shaken up to say the least.

Since we had morning sun in our "yard" we opted to eat breakfast in the camper. This table rarely gets used. Holden was excited to get to be a big boy and sit at the table with us!

We LOVED our days on the beach.
These kiddos were troopers. They were under the umbrella waiting out a rain shower.

Before we left, I bought PieFace for Bennett to play. He loved it. :) I even got in on the action, too.

We worked a puzzle one evening.

H loved the bike riding with B and Daddy.

Bennett dug a huge water hole every day for our own pool. He would do this for hours.

Love these two.

This boogie board logged a lot of miles. Bennett loved catching and riding the waves.

Me and my babies.

Playing in the sand.

Getting buried. One loved it and one did not. He was ready for a nap and we were interrupting his schedule. It didn't take us but one day to realize that vacation or not, he wanted that nap schedule.

The campground had everything. We only left one night for a few hours... and that was to shop and get seafood. There was an arcade, ice cream stand, beach, pond, pool, lazy river, splash pad, and indoor pool. There was also a camp store and kids' activities each day.

One morning, we decided to check out the pool.

Daddy and B on the lazy river.

H wanted to ride too!

This water was freezing at the splash pad but he didn't care!

H was starting to get sleepy and does not heart cold water.

My big boy!

We went out to eat one night so I could get some crablegs. What's the beach without crablegs? The boys will eat shrimp but Jonathan doesn't care for any of it!
Here is my sweet boy eating good!
The pirate ship buffet.

Live mermaids. B was pretty confused about this.

After we ate, we headed to the outlets. We knew they had an Under Armour outlet and B had already decided that for big school, he wanted an Under Armour backpack, lunch box and shoes. I was sad it wasn't cute seersucker and monograms but ESTATIC it wasn't Ninja Turtles and lights. It was kind of a win win, I guess.
This boy was in heaven. :) He LOVES some UA.

We also had to shop for something else. Meet Rover 2.0.

On our last night, we headed down to the beach so I could get some pics of the boys with my new camera. Look at these sweet faces.

The night before we left, B made friends with the kids behind us that had come in the day before. We hung out with their family talking and the kids made smores and played PieFace. It made my heart smile to see my big boy make a new friend and be so confident. Here are B and his friend Jacob.

So long beach... we will see you again next year.
