SOMEONE has been a total fusspot for the past two weeks. Then, last Wednesday, we turned a corner--whew! My happy baby is back. All is good.
This cutie pie has started smiling. It melts. my. heart. Sighhhhhh.
This guy melts my heart, too. He calls me "sweet girl." He he! Check out these Baby Aviators--Tom Cruise, who?
Since it's summer, pinterest is full of fun things to do. Our first activity was squeeze chalk. It's a mixture of food coloring, baking soda, cornstarch, and water. Bennett loved it and we have done it several times since. Here he is helping me make our chalk.
The chalk was a huge success. I'm not sure who had more fun... me or him!
One Friday night, we decided to have an impromptu campfire. Bennett was thrilled, of course. My parents even came over to sit around and make some smores.
THIS BOY--- y'all. He is growing up too fast. He learned to ride a bike without training wheels-- in about 30 minutes. For real. Jonathan pushed him ONE time and he took off. Within 30 minutes, he was balancing and starting by himself. He has only fallen twice. He has amazed me with how quick he learned. I am so proud of him... and he is pretty proud of himself, too!
After riding his bike for awhile, he decided to ride his tractor-- in the mud-- after it had rained for two days. He got stuck so mommy had to go rescue him and his tractor from the middle of the garden. Once he saw me walking around in the mud, he wanted to walk around, too. I was totally surprised considering the kid hates, I mean HATES to be dirty!
