We have so many Christmas traditions. Some we have started ourselves and some I have carried over from my own childhood. One of the new traditions we started was our annual gingerbread house construction. This is a true test of my OCD. I have been trying to let B do his own thing to boost his confidence and know that his way is "right" too. This is a good lesson for both of us. Here he is with that pesky icing bag. The bag blew out a few seconds later....
Holden helped us by eating the candy we dropped. When we didn't drop much, he helped himself to what was available :)
Me and my littlest love.
Our finished product. Holden was cleaning up the leftovers.
We also baked a few cookies...
His "cheese" face.
Baking sugar cookies from scratch. This was our first time doing this!

Handsome boy!
One Sunday afternoon, we headed over to The Joneses house to decorate gingerbread houses with some kids from church. They had so much fun together and the mommas had a good time too.
Then, when we got home, we decorated our made from scratch sugar cookies. Both boys helped... Bennett helped with the decorating and Holden helped with the eating.
Bennett was very serious about this project!
Daddy even got in on the action and helped us!
What a fun new tradition!
